Job Title: Second Shift Packaging Lead 


Reports to:
Director of Packaging 


Salary Range: 25-28/Hour
 
 

Description/Expectations: 

Hendler Family Brewing Company is seeking an organized and resourceful individual to join our team as a Second Shift Packaging Team Lead. 

The Second Shift Packaging Team Lead is responsible for overseeing packaging operations and ensuring smooth workflow. This role requires a deep understanding of machine operations, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to lead and coordinate team members to maintain production efficiency and product quality. 

Essential Functions and Duties: 

  • Oversees training of new operators on machines
  • Enforces all company and department policies and SOPs
  • Communicates any mechanical issues with the Packaging Manager, Maintenance team and Packaging Director. 
  • Communicates any interpersonal staff issues with Packaging Manager, Packaging Director and/or Peoples Ops as appropriate 
  • Leads the department in the absence of the Packaging Manager
  • Ensures all packaging splits match yield in the brite tank, making necessary adjustment with the administrative team
  • Ensures the completion of data entry associated with the packaging team
  • Ensures all data entered into ERP systems is correct
  • Assists Packaging Manager with monthly Inventory counts 
  • Enters and analyzes efficiency data
  • Leads department through product and or format change overs as efficiently as possible. 
  • Works with the Packaging Manager to create and maintain a 5S organization for the department
  • Ensures adherence to weekly cleaning schedule for the department
 Job Requirements:
   
  • 2 years of brewery packaging experience or equivalent manufacturing experience required
  • Previous Managerial experience preferred 
  • Machine operating or manufacturing experience preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a positive attitude
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Available to work long and/or flexible hours
  • Forklift certification and/or experience is a plus
  • Work well under pressure and at a fast pace
  • Work independently and within a team with minimal supervision
  • Must be dependable and have reliable transportation

Compensation: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
