Description/Expectations:

Hendler Family Brewing Company is recruiting for a Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of Hendler Family Brewing Company hospitality, office and external spaces. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for our guests and staff. This role requires someone who is proactive, efficient, and able to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

Essential Functions and Duties:

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting throughout the beer hall and Springdale Offices.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring they are fully stocked with supplies.
  • Empty trash and recycling bins regularly and ensure proper disposal.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar, dining areas, and outdoor spaces.
  • Clean the front entrance door, windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors as needed.
  • Keep locker rooms, service closets, janitor closets, etc. in neat and clean condition at all times.
  • Report to building management any observed building deficiencies e.g. leaking or inoperable light or switches, loose baseboards, faulty locks, etc.
  • Ensure all cleaning supplies and chemicals are stored and handled safely, following OSHA guidelines.
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Facility Manager promptly.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Assist with setting up and cleaning after events, including moving tables, chairs, and other furniture.
  • Assist with basic maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, minor repairs, and painting.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred, especially in a hospitality or food/beverage environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including cold storage areas and outdoor spaces.

Compensation: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
