Salary: $18-22/Hour

Description/Expectations: 

Hendler Family Brewing Company is recruiting for our next Production Trainee as part of our commitment to providing alternative pathways to careers in beer and beverage production. This position is designed for entry-level candidates interested in a production brewing career, and provides on-the-job experience in our packaging, cellar, laboratory and brewhouse departments. As part of our Training Rotation cycle, candidates will be assigned to four-month rotations through each department, learning the basics of entry-level work in each. Upon the successful completion of the 16 month rotation, candidates will meet the eligibility requirements of an Assistant Brewer at HFBCo.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform a 16 month Training Rotation in the following functions:
    • In Packaging, spend four months training as a Packaging Associate
    • In the Cellar, spend four months training as a Cellar Operator
    • In the Quality Laboratory, spend four months training as a Lab Technician
    • In the Brewhouse, spend four months training as a Brewer

Job Requirements:

  • No previous experience is required
  • A desire for a career in the beverage production industry is strongly preferred
  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl.
  • Physical work includes climbing stairs, climbing into tanks, pulling hoses, etc.
  • Brewery environment:
    • Conditions can run from wet, hot and cold conditions, depending on season.
    • Ability to work in frequently loud environments.
  •  Ability/knowledge to safely work with chemicals present in the brewery.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and lift and/or move over 50 pounds with or without assistance.

Compensation: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
